Some of the notably achievements in the association’s operations over the last decade include:

  • AfBBA has promoted development of the African Agriculture sector through establishing the ‘AFRICAN VILLAGE’ at the Royal in 2004, to encourage a wider participation of African countries at the event and launched the ‘ANGLO AFRICA ORGANIC SEMINAR’ at the Royal Show in 2005.
  • Created strong contacts with many African Union Diplomatic missions in the United Kingdom and assisted several in engaging with the UK trade associations and institutions, as well as facilitating visits to exhibitions and trade associations and the private sector in the UK.
  • Further, the association has actively engaged in preparing development proposals to African governments whenever it identify any suitable opportunities.
  • The association have hosted a number trade missions, Ministerial and Government Official visits from some African countries at top class UK trade events on Agriculture and Education.
  • AfBBA’s officials have participated and attended various economic initiatives and conferences/summits in the United Kingdom, China and Africa.
